IMPORTANT ATRACTIONS OF THE CUSCO CITY:

Pisac Market:

One of the main handicraft markets in the Sacred Valley, where customs are mixed with the art to obtain authentic and cultural value. In the market of Pisac artisans come together around the city and residents of nearby villages who sell their products at prices within reach of the tourist.

Ollantaytambo:

Monumental work of the Inca Empire, located 80 km northeast of Cusco, at an altitude of 2792 meters. On Machu Picchu is located 40 km away.

Ollantaytambo is a construction of the imperial Inca period between the time of the Inca Pachacutec and Wayna Capac, 200 to 150 years before the arrival of the conquistadors.

Its architectural style makes known that he was a military, religious, administrative and agriculture. Some argue that was a city of Ollantaytambo Inca elite constructions and style used throughout the site.

Chinchero:

It is located 30 km northwest of the city of Cusco at an altitude of 3780 m and temperatures from cool to Cold.

Inca Construction during the extirpation of idolatry was destroyed leaving only traces of its existence today.

Chinchero has the Catholic church founded by the Viceroy Toledo in 1572, as the Doctrine of Our Lady of Montserrat Chinchero, in this church are paintings that represent Tupac Amaru, who fought against the Spanish colony. As one element of the temple shaped rocks were used which were part of the Inca buildings.

In chinchero traditional market gives people come here on Sundays, a native market, typical of the region is still in ancient barter or exchange of goods, products from different areas are brought to this event. Also you can get various souvenirs for tourists.
